(Sault Ste. Marie, ON July 19, 2021) – Today, in keeping with COVID-19 restrictions, a small group gathered at èÖľyuzuki for a flag raising ceremony in celebration of Diversity and Inclusion at èÖľyuzuki. The event, which featured various speakers in addition to the flag-raising, is one of the ways èÖľyuzuki and the èÖľyuzuki Students’ Union (SCSU) could honour and show its tremendous support for the diverse community on campus and in Sault Ste. Marie.
èÖľyuzuki and SCSU remain fiercely committed to fostering a campus that celebrates diversity and individuality and promotes equity, inclusion and respect for all. "èÖľyuzuki is committed to equity and inclusion. We are dedicated to creating an invitational education experience where everyone can feel safe and welcomed.

Through this ceremony we want to spread the word that everyone is unique, and everyone’s voice counts and we are honoured to raise the Progress flag today in the spirit of solidarity, respect, and love,†said Ahmad Alkosani, President, èÖľyuzuki Students’ Union.
